My wife Jane, another couple, and I just returned from our Germany-Austria trip which included Brett's 3 day Oktoberfest Opening Weekend tour. It was certainly a huge highlight of our 15 day trip and Brett could not have treated us any better. It was a great experience and a great value for everything that was included. It started with Brett meeting us in front of the centrally located hotel with a big wave and a smile, then helping us get checked in (including reserving a parking spot for our vehicle) and making us feel like family for the next three days.

We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour if you have never been or if you want a totally new experience at Oktoberfest. Brett is well organized, personable and gives everyone in the group individual attention to enhance the tour. Our particular group got along famously and we met many outstanding people. The beer tent at Oktoberfest was awesome especially the location of our tables (front and center), the service (Brett knew the beer servers) and atmosphere that made this a very memorable and enjoyable event. From the opening night meet and greet (including dinner and drinks) to the parades to the city tour, we enjoyed every moment of this experience. Brett was an awesome guide at Oktoberfest last year! So many insider tips like knowing best tents to visit, where the parades queue up beforehand (awesome costume and people viewing), best restaurants, and he made reservations well before we arrived at several hot spots to make sure we had front row experiences at the breweries and in the tents all weekend.

Brett was really enthusiastic about Munich and making sure you have as much or as little tour group experience as works for you. Cannot be underrated how much more fun it was to be in a tent with friends we'd met that weekend with Brett. Singing in German, eating giant pretzels and great food, giant steins of yellow gold--all more fun in a group.

We (8 members of family) were with Brett Harriman on the first week of Oktoberfest 2015. Great experience. Brett provided considerable input and assistance on car rental returns, navigating the train station, the City, the parade, attending the Oktoberfest....

The package hotel was well located, provided excellent breakfasts, and was very comfortable.

Brett also provided good information on non-Oktoberfest sites/items (Salzburg, the castles at Fussen, Rothenberg transportation ,....).

Heck of an enjoyable time. We recommend it highly.

We signed up for Brett's 2012 package and really enjoyed it. The hotel was perfect...very nice, at the entrance to the Old City, within walking distance to Oktoberfest and to the opening night dinner which was an excellent way to meet the other package-goers.

The walking tour was very informative: Brett certainly knows "his" Munich. And Oktoberfest!!...we knew it would be fun but exceeded our expectations...great reserved tables, great music, great crowd, and need we say...great beer!

I can't see how we could have possibly gotten three better days in Munich and at such a great price. All the details were covered perfectly and explained clearly with options for "on our own time". Brett, I wanted to take a moment and thank you for all that you’ve done for my wife and me so far. We are looking forward to the closing Oktoberfest weekend this year with you and your other guests. I will be celebrating my 50th birthday on this trip and couldn’t think of a bigger or better party to do it at then the Oktoberfest. My wife and I have attended several European festivals over the years and having someone to work with that has been there many times is extremely important to us. My wife and I are very independent travels, but for these big festivals it is nice having someone who knows all the ins and outs of the event/area to help take the stress out of planning it. It can all be a bit overwhelming when you arrive at these festivals for the first time. And to be part of a group will make it that much better.

I also wanted to thank you for all your advice/insight, car rental and accommodation recommendations in planning the remainder of our trip. The hotels we went with near Neuschwanstein/Hohenschwangau Castles and the one in Vienna near the Opera House look to be off the charts amazing. And we are especially looking forward to the apartment rental you recommended in Salzburg. Everything is exactly what wanted.

We can’t wait to join you over in Munich this October and thank you in person. This trip is starting to really take shape and become a very memorable vacation for us. Thank you again for all your help.

My wife and I concluded a three week trip to Germany and Italy with a three night stay in Munich. It was timed to catch the final days and closing of Oktoberfest. My wife and I are a young sixty (well at least we think so) and both wanted to attend Germany’s premier drinking party.

The Oktoberfest experience is hard to describe and best discovered in person. My try at a description is that it is bunch of huge (reasonably well-mannered) keg parties interspersed with the largest county fair-style amusement park imaginable. The size of the area is maybe a square mile and seems filled with hundreds of thousands at any given moment.

Munich is a great city to visit with great food and lots of cultural opportunities. Oktoberfest is a great experience and fun to check off the bucket list. We would, however, highly recommend using a guide/tour if you plan to attend. Without reservations for a table in one of the tents, it is hard to imagine how you would get a seat as they all appear to be sold out. And within the beer tents no seat means no service. We went on a Harriman Tour Package (closing weekend) and Brett delivered a prime location in one of tents for the final night of Oktoberfest. He also provided us with a great tour of the event and Munich. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to attend in the future.

For years I've wanted to visit the Oktoberfest in Munich, but I couldn't get clear enough information to pull the trigger. I'd heard it was difficult to get into the tents and going solo, it would be like drinking alone anyway if I could. Hotels would have to be booked way ahead of time too if you could afford their pumped up prices. With millions of people from all over the world attending, it just seemed so confusing to try alone. Then I heard about Brett Harriman's Oktoberfest tour package. Everything was included. Brett had us in a modern hotel in a great location right where the parade started and within walking distance to all the famous tourist spots of Munich and the Oktoberfest grounds.

The package came complete with 20 instant new lifelong friends! Brett had us visiting the fascinating sites of Munich with expert inside knowledge. We ate and toured like locals. Our big night in the tent on opening weekend at the Oktoberfest was unbelievable! The food and of course the beer were fantastic! Don't try to do this yourself. Let Brett do it all for you. You and all your new friends will be glad you did. I had such a great time, I'm ready for a re-do!

Hello! My wife and I lived in Germany for 3 yrs (1989-1992, before children) and visited Oktoberfest 4 separate times. Loved watching your video! Our visits were great fun, and we met a LOT of great Germans (we brought our English-German dictionary - a big help) though our German was pretty bad. Thanks so much for the video memories! Having you and Shaun assist with getting us settled in, ordering food and drinks, and having the reserved tables at the front of the tent was awesome!!! It was like a personal concierge service.

We will definitely be going back, staying even longer in Munich, and using you again to make sure we have another fantastic experience.

This fall I did a 6 week solo trip to Germany and Italy. This was my first time to Europe and Munich, Germany was my first stop. I have to say that joining Brett Harriman's Oktoberfest tour-package was one of the highlights of the entire trip. Brett had everything planned out for us and the hotel was very accommodating (and within walking distance to the fair grounds and Munich old town). Apart from the spectacular night at the Oktoberfest festival, we also went on a city tour the first day and it was great having someone so knowledgeable about Munich and the festivities. The beer and food were excellent! Brett took us to several delicious places to eat and he answered any questions that we could think of. Our tour group was made up of a fun mix of people and everyone got along. The ages in our group ranged from the late 20's to the early 60's and the countries of origin included America, Canada and England.

If you are thinking about doing this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity...do it right, and contact Brett. He was a key factor in turning this good trip into a great trip. Prost!!!

Brett, you did an awesome job setting up the Oktoberfest tour and everything went off without a hitch. The brewery dinner was superb and, judging by the lines at the door, was quite the difficult ticket to obtain. Other than the cold weather, the walking tour of Munich was both informative and entertaining. But the finale of Oktoberfest in the Augustiner tent was by far the highlight of the trip. The seats you had were fantastic and we had a great view of the band on stage. The electricity of the crowd is hard to describe and we certainly met plenty of friendly revelers in the tent (me, probably more than you, but you were working). Lastly, I think your choice of hotel was excellent. The central location was very convenient and it was extremely clean and comfortable, all for a very reasonable price at Oktoberfest.

Trying to round up folks to return next year. Have to put those lederhosen to good use!
